Shogi Pieces: Satsuma Boxwood, Artist UnknownUnsigned shogi pieces.I initially thought they might be by Sanson, but the calligraphy is one-of-a-kind. They are large, wide, and thin, likely made from wood from the early to mid-Showa period. They seem to have been made in the Kansai to Chubu region, and are definitely not from Tendo.
