sizzling ! 1948 Safety in the World of this day by Stack, Seaton, & Hyde, Vintage School Book

This post-war schoolbook taught young Americans how to be safe at home, on the road, and at work in a swift-changing latest world. Topics include fire drills, mining safety, industrial hazards, dangerous driving practices, and the need for better laws and worker protections. Illustrated with black-and-white photos and suggested student activities, it’s a fascinating mid-century glimpse into public safety education.

• Cover: marks/fading and wear at edges and corners (bumped)
• Spine: marks/fading and wear at ends
• Pages: wear typical for vintage school book with a few writing/underlining, age marks, foxing, folded corners and small tears. Writing/foxing and/or prior owner's name on pastedown and/or end papers.
• Binding: shifted
• Edges: age marks/brown spots/writing and darkening
