sizzling ! Vintage Antique 1908 Plato Flip-Clock with Brass Carriage Lamp Style - NEEDS TLC

Here’s your chance to own a rare Antique Plato Flip Clock for a fraction of what they cost in fully working condition. Many collector’s of clocks really would like to own more special clocks, but they cost so darn much! Well, buying luxury examples that may need work is an outstanding way to acquire rare clocks for less money…and still be able to adore them and show them off in your collection. Rarely are the 24 hour through 8 day winding clocks with used on a day to day basis anyway. It isn’t practical. Awwww

So, let me share with you what I have noticed to be wrong with this Antique Plato Flip-Clock.

1) The fragile glass cylindrical encasement has a 2.5 inch crack on the backside (photo 4) of the clock; so, it still displays nicely from the front.

2) The upper number set of number tiles is slightly askew relative to the bottom set.

3) The clock winds up and ticks but dies out early. The clock mechanism probably needs a good cleaning, which you can do or a jeweler can do.
