More information about Showa Retro: 0-Sen Hayato - Set of 4 Round and 9 Square Menko (Menko/Face Cards)

This is a set of 13 "menko" (a type of Japanese game card): 4 round menko and 9 corner menko. The round menko are two different colors, with two of each color (4 total). The corner menko are two types, with 9 total. These are from the 1950s and 1960s (Showa era).

The "Zero Sen Hayato no Maru" menko are from the manga series of the same name, created by Tsuji Naoki and serialized in "Shonen King" magazine from 1963 to 1964 (Showa 38-39).

The round menko have a diameter of approximately 6.9-7cm. Three of the corner menko are made of thick cardboard, approximately 3mm thick, 7.7cm tall, and 4.5cm wide.

These menko have been played with and show signs of wear, including dirt, bent corners, wrinkles, scratches, creases, and peeling. Please understand this before purchasing.
