The blue and white plate features the Place Royale where Samuel de Champlain built the first permanent French settlement in the Americas. Erected in 1608, his first abitation was a fort, store, trading post, and residence each rolled into one. That’s why Place Royale is considered the cradle of French North America. This sweet souvenir would make a fun trinket dish!

splendid vintage condition with very light crazing, one small blue mark on the edge and 2 small imperfections from manufacturing as seen in photos.
