Signed copy of President Barack Obama’s 2006 book “The Audacity of Hope”.
The original owner, John Gunter of Denver, Colorado had the book signed at a Tattered Cover event in October 2006.
Following a brief political discussion, Senator Obama advised John: “Don’t let the bastards acquire you down.”
John, an eternal optimist, did not let the bastards snag him down. He passed away in January 2025 and all earnings will help his terrific wife, Teela, afford car repairs and medical bills.
